Ann Arbor Marathi Mandal (A2MM) is a registered 501(c) (3) non-profit organization established in 2006. It aims to foster the spirit of Marathi culture and create a strong support system for individuals and families in Michigan connected to Maharashtrian values and traditions.
A2MM’s mission is to pass on the legacy of Maharashtrian values to the youth in the community, ensuring they experience the beauty of Marathi culture, language, traditions, and values with pride.
A2MM was built off these three founding principles:
- मंडळ नव्हे कुटुंब – A2MM is not a Mandal, it’s an extended family where we build loving, trusting relationships that last for decades!
- अथिती: देवो भव: – We treat all guests, incumbents or newcomes alike, as God and welcome them into our events, hearts, and homes.
- 10X Fun – We come prepared to deal with every ask and challenge with a “10X fun” attitude, handling tough, onerous matters with a strong desire to have loads of fun every step of the way. We see the glass as half-full at all times and expect the best intents of and efforts from everyone.
